How do I connect to Bluetooth?
Turn on Bluetooth and start pairing in the DEFI app. When asked, press the pairing button on the front of the bottle. (Android requires 'Allow Location Access'.)
Does it open or dispense automatically?
No. You open the bottle and take your dose yourself. DEFI reminds you and records each open.
Does Bluetooth always have to be connected?
No. Once set, the alarm rings on its own, phone or no phone. Reconnect the app to check your history or change settings.
Is the DEFI Smart Pill Bottle airtight?
No. Keep it away from heat and humidity.
How long does the battery last?
It typically lasts several months up to a year on one set of four AAA batteries, depending on how often the alarm sounds and the environment. The bottle's display shows the battery level.
Is the medication detected by weight?
No. It tracks each dose by the bottle opening and closing. Every open is recorded on the bottle and synced to the app.
Where does the alarm go off?
In two places: the bottle's built-in alarm and a notification in the DEFI app.
